Questions

Why watermark an ID copy?

If the copy is leaked or stolen, the watermark shows it was only meant for one organisation and one purpose. That makes it much harder to use to open accounts or pass checks elsewhere.

Will the organisation still accept it?

Usually, as long as the photo, name, date of birth and document number are still readable. Keep the opacity low enough for that. If in doubt, ask them first.

Is my document uploaded?

No. The image is read and marked in your browser, and never leaves your device.

Which files can I use?

PNG, JPG, WebP, GIF, AVIF, HEIC, TIFF, BMP, ICO, TGA, QOI, PPM/PGM/PBM and SVG.
