Questions
What do the harmonies mean?
They are standard ways of picking colours around the colour wheel. Analogous uses neighbours, complementary uses the opposite side, triadic and tetradic space three or four colours evenly, and monochrome uses lighter and darker versions of one colour.
How are colours taken from an image?
The image is shrunk, and similar pixels are grouped. Each group’s average colour is shown with the share of the image it covers.
What are the shades?
Ten steps from very light to very dark, numbered 50 to 900 like many design systems. Useful for backgrounds, borders and hover states.
